Once the project reaches the stage where construction is about to commence, RMC Constructors has a set of initial procedures that are followed to eliminate any unforeseen events that could cause delays.

RMC will establish a field office with temporary utilities and staff.

We confer with local municipality officials to establish code-compliant inspection schedules and determine if we must implement special procedures to meet those schedules.

RMC will analyze the impact of the project on neighboring commercial or residential communities. If there is concern from these parties, RMC will hold formal meetings to mitigate any issues prior to construction.

RMC conducts a pre-construction conference with all subcontractors and vendors to orient all team members with the project's schedule and goals.

During the course of construction there are a number of procedures that RMC deem mandatory regardless of the scope or type of build. The schedule and adherence to these procedures are established during the pre-construction phase and monitored and enforced by RMC during the construction phase:

  • Safety program compliance.

  • Quality and contract compliance.

  • Project schedule performance and review.

  • Liability, asset and worker’s comp. insurance procedures.

  • Labor relation goals and union participation (if necessary).

  • Inspection coordination between subcontractors and RMC Constructor's on-site staff.

  • Distribution of Inspection reports (determining when and which parties will receive them).

  • Daily reports from all the required superintendents, subcontractors and field personal.

  • Payroll reports and certification.

  • Subcontractor contracts.

  • Work clarification documentation from project architect.

  • Change orders:  Adherence to our procedures reduces the unforeseen conditions that create the need for change orders.

  • Material purchases and their delivery.

  • Review of RMC Constructors and subcontractor warranties required for the project.

  • Labor cost and variance reports review and update.

  • Routing all project information through the necessary field personnel, office personnel and subcontractors.

  • Project status reports from all subcontractors.

  • Maintaining maintenance and operations manuals

  • As-Built record keeping.

  • Project close-out checklists.

  • Notice of completion.

  • Post job review.
